Profile Background

Dr. Fong Yang is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and a Singapore Ministry of Health-accredited in-vitro fertilization (IVF) clinician. He has been providing dedicated care to women and sub-fertile couples who try to conceive for more than 20 years. His medical journey started in 1990 when he obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore. Thereafter, he pursued further specialised training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the United Kingdom. In 2000, Dr Fong was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Being one of the few IVF clinicians who specialise in treating both female and male infertility, Dr. Fong was the first in Singapore to perform Percutaneous Sperm Aspiration for men. This procedure helps resolve obstruction of the sperm ducts that affects the production of sperms.

Dr. Fong provides a comprehensive range of services from investigating causes of infertility and performing laparoscopic surgery to enhancing conception chances and implementing intrauterine insemination (IUI) and IVF procedures to help couples realise their dream of having a child.

Dr. Fong places a strong emphasis on early pregnancy care, particularly for ladies who have had early pregnancy losses or miscarriages. Together with close antenatal monitoring, he helps expectant mothers to achieve as safe and smooth a delivery as possible.
